Today, we want to share the incredible journey of Magic, a brave canine who recently faced an unimaginable ordeal and triumphed, thanks to the support of our community and the dedicated care of our team.
Magic’s Story
Magic was simply minding his own business when a stranger attacked him with a machete. The incident left Magic with a severe wound, and his owner, devastated and worried, didn’t know where to turn. Fortunately, the police responded swiftly, bringing Magic and his owner to i-Care Veterinary Hospital for immediate treatment.
Upon arrival, Magic was assessed by Dr. Alastair Westcott, who knew that urgent care was essential. Magic was placed under general anesthesia to ensure he felt no pain during the procedure. The area around the wound was carefully shaved and cleaned. Dr. Westcott meticulously inspected the injury, removing any hair and debris to prevent infection. The cut was so deep that it even marked Magic’s skull. With precision and care, Dr. Westcott stitched the wound, repairing the layers of tissue to promote optimal healing.
Thanks to this thorough treatment, Magic’s prognosis is good, and he will return in 10 days to have his sutures removed. Despite the physical trauma, Magic’s spirit remained unbroken, a testament to his incredible resilience.

Thanks to the generous donations from compassionate individuals to build up the fund, Magic’s medical expenses were fully covered, allowing his owner to focus on his recovery without the added stress of financial strain.
